GMA behind Cardinal Sin’s death?

June 23, 2005

A great patriot passed away a few days ago. An incredible man who toppled a dictator. A man who made a difference without violence. In hort a hero, in his own right. But what actually caused his death? Yes it was about health but what if it was something else?

It’s so ironic that Cardinal Sin’s death so happens when the nation is in crisis once again. Crisis of alleged wrong doings by the current president. Maybe it was planned out. Yes this is just some crazy theory but something not to make fun of. For example, another theory was regarding about texting services to be taxed which came in such a time that texting was instrumental in ousting ex president Erap. GMA didn’t comment on it which pretty much means silence means yes. Galing diba? It could’ve been some ploy by GMA to prevent such things from happening to her. And the death of Jaime Sin could’ve been another ploy. But of course this just thinking out loud and not something to make fun of a Filipino hero.

Now if such a revolution against GMA should be successful, the only way is for the opposition to reunite once again and then try to make a go at it. It’s easy to take out small groups but united…. now that is a different story.

Let’s just focus on the now and let our so called justice system work out the controversy behind the possible election fraud committed by our current president.

For me, I just wished that Cardinal Sin was here and show some more spiritual leadership that we Filipinos badly need. Well, gotta go and install “Hello Garcy” as my ringtone. =)

Funny how Filipinos think really. Although I think your theory is kinda farfetched, maybe Cardinal Sin wanted to go in such a time of crisis. Hoping that his death would somehow revert the attention to him and forget for a moment what is thrown to our Government. How I wish he didnt die and he is still the Cardinal but this is reality. Funny how people like our law makers easily forget reality so that they can be the "star" for the moment. Yeah sure, there are tapes of supposedly the President and Garcillano, so what? Honestly, no offense to the late FPJ but would you rather have him as a President than Gloria? You think we wouldnt go thru all the same things if FPJ was the President? I wonder how Teddy Casino and the other NGO's and lawmakers can easily ally with the ooposition when a few years back they were calling them names. How can they trust these characters? Lawmakers said that the hearings in Batasan is in search of truth. Then what? But look outside batasan or Senate, look in the rural areas, there are more pressing realities to deal with there rather than this one. Does environmental concerns ring a bell? how about economic stability? or new investors? At a time when we need REAL lawmakers the most THEY ARE NOT THERE! Cheating in elections is always a given, people know that, they talk about that but still when the winners are announced they accept it. Like jueteng, people knows jueteng. Politicians the people elected know them well but nobody in the last decade talked about it. NOBODY REALLY DOES SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Life goes on. So why fuss now? coz somehow they all have a stake in it. This is how power entice some people to do something bad at the expense of the common good. Maybe Cardinal Sin died because he suddenly realized that what he fought for all this time was not to benefit the Filipino people but these good for nothing, selfish politicians. But all is not lost somehow. Cardinal Sin loved our Country, he knows the meaning of Ninoys " the Filipinos are worth dying for". For us living, a korean couldnt have said it better: "Philippines as a Country is not asking its people to die for her motherland. It merely asks to takecare and weep for its motherland for who else would cry for the Filipinos but themselves"
